In 2021, after spending much of the pandemic prototyping and pitching virtual audience concepts, we were asked by Lifted Entertainment to provide a fully interactive virtual audience to help make Series 17 possible under strict COVID-19 protocols. Nine 90-minute live shows were watched by on average 8.5 million viewers. We hosted over 1000 live contributors each week, spread across 260m² of video wall with features including live polling, team games and choreographed animations. All this with an end-to-end latency of less than 600ms, made possible through collaboration with our partners at The Famous Group and LiveSwitch.
