The Weakest Link
Background
KPX were invited to take on the Game Technology for The Weakest Link for Romesh’s second series, after it was clear there were improvements that could be made. Our remit was to improve the money tree and head to head graphic design, increase the visual clarity of the podium displays, and accurately track and present the game statistics. Anyone who knows the show is aware that it is a very stats-driven game: which contestant banked the most, which contestant gave the most right answers… and of course, who is The Weakest Link?
Historically this was achieved with a combination of paper forms and Excel documents, and required several people to track and collate the statistics for presentation to Romesh and the writers. We fully automated this data management, turning it into accurate real-time information for the gallery and the host, speeding up the entire production schedule as a result!
